Last summer I launched a new offering called Home Movies. Born out of a desire to immortalize those quickly disappearing morsels of mundane life, I wanted to make something that kids could look back on decades from now – a sort of portal that would give them access to a time when they were very much alive, but may not remember.
Spending a Sunday morning with The Crawford was lovely. Their oldest son has perhaps the tiniest, cutest voice my ears have ever heard. For the better part of two hours, I followed him around listening to him narrate everything he saw, experienced, and thought. It was the definition of delightful.
Press play to experience a day in the life with The Crawfords!
Since launching Home Movies, I’ve been able to shoot some really fun family sessions and have a few more coming up later this season. Something I especially love about the process of making these films is how hands off it is. Before shooting, we discuss what kinds of activities best represent your days spent together as a family. Beyond that element of preparation, it’s all very laid back and documentary in approach. Just you, living your life with me (your best friend) hanging alongside. My favorite place to be.
If you’re interested in booking a Home Movie session for your family, send me a message via my contact form! Very much looking forward to more of these in the future. Thanks for stopping by the blog.
