In the early days of our correspondance with one another, something Hailey & Clifton expressed to me was that they really wanted a wedding film that put the joy of spending time with their loved ones at the center. They wanted the hear the voices of their friends and family interacting with each other – giving toasts and telling stories. This sentiment resonated deeply with me as it’s something I’m always thinking about when I’m documenting weddings.

Hailey also told me about a unique source of inspiration for her wedding that held a special place in my heart too! She said, “You know the wedding scene in The Parent Trap?” Girl, SAY LESS! A staple of my childhood, that movie is one I could quote backwards and forwards. I love how her dress mirrored the timeless silhouette of the one Elizabeth Banks wore on her *first* boat wedding to hunky hunky Nick Parker *swoon.* The low lighting and elegant decor at their reception added an extra layer of nostalgia and warmth that threw me back to that ripped up photo both Lindsey Lohans held so dearly.
