As a teenager with oil pastels caked over my fingers, I spent hours trying to depict forms as vividly as they appeared in my head. Along the way, my passion for creating images began to evolve as a most beloved (and insistent) teacher introduced my hungry heart to the art of photography. Making photos and films quickly became synonymous for me in their unparalleled ability to suspend time and hunt for what slipped away beneath it. With a spirit that thrives on emotion, I naturally found solace working with humans and documenting their lives. I started my business in 2012 and have been working as a professional image maker ever since. When I'm not shooting, I’m an avid movie watcher (in the way other people consume books). I hate trailers that give away too much and honestly would just as soon forgo a trailer for the chance to get swept up in a story. As a kid, I moved around frequently and watched my mom turn anywhere we lived into a home. This has made me into a content little homebody with a penchant for nesting and hosting. I like long dinners at big tables, anything that gets me near a body of water, and I’ll fight anyone who tells me Gilmore Girls is not the best show on planet earth. I’ve always seen the world in glorious technicolor and I catch beauty where it often goes unnoticed. I like being alive and I’m still learning how to savor the richness of the whole experience.
