The more I shoot boudoir, the more I love it.
It’s so damn fun. It’s sexy. It’s invigorating. But gosh it’s so much more than that.
As of late I’ve been privileged to photograph beautiful and honest women who come to me not wanting to be re-touched, but WANTING to celebrate who they are- even if it’s really difficult for them to do.
I will say it until the cows come home. Outer beauty is something we all posses. And when you feel like shit in your own skin, it eats you up. It consumes your thoughts and affects your relationships. Photographs are powerful in the way they can push you towards new perspective. And a new, nicer, kinder, empowered, more accurate perspective on yourself.
Well that’s freeing thing.
Earlier this summer, I had the opportunity to photograph a naked woman on a bus. And you best believe I took it. As a disclaimer, this post does contain a lovely dose of nudity. If that’s not your thing, then kindly stop here. The rest of you, scroll on for beauty.
