Down by the water, nestled in a home that touches the earth live the Webbs; a pair of lovers, their pooch, and the tiny human they made together.
They find comfort in their home and in being together, and they always have.
And when came baby Holland Bloom, we took a golden hazy night over a bottle of red wine to spend time together and photograph the little love unit they’ve made.
This is how I want to photograph families.
Centrally mindful of what is ordinary, what is calm, what is accurate.
Working with people who are willing to open themselves up to me is my haven, and I don’t want to do anything but.
This summer of weddings has been so satisfying, creating and documenting for couples who share that common heart. Soon the leaves will turn yellow and the love fests will mellow. And when that happens, I’ll be diving in with more families just like this. If the idea of documenting your ordinary rubs you right, then you’re in the right place darlin. There’s more comin’ for you.
With love,
Lauren
