Welcome to a new kind of boudoir event! Featuring boudoir photography by me and nude body paintings by artist Jade Ariah, Painted Ladies is a celebration of the female body through a uniquely colorful fusion of fine art and photography.

Meet The Painter: Jade Ariah
I met Jade years ago through a mutual friend. In 2018 Jade held a senior thesis exhibit with her classmates at UAA. I was struck by the use of color and vibrant retro patterns in her work. But what drew me in the most (& what has always drawn me to Jade) was her interest in the female experience. As her bio reads, “In her work [Jade] investigates and rejects norms surrounding female beauty and desirability.” Jade defies what is taboo and brings to light the ordinary things we all go through as women.
Jade and I have been talking for a long time about how we could combine our shared passion for uplifting women. Earlier this year, I heard about a painter overseas who hosts group body painting sessions. The artist talked about the power of the experience for her models – to feel the gentle touch of her brush against their skin. I thought it was such a beautiful concept that I wanted to try it for myself. I pitched the idea to Jade and let her run with her own inspiration. Seeing all of this go from an idea, to a design, to an actual work of art has been such a rewarding experience.
The Heart Behind The Event
I believe boudoir helps us see ourselves in a new light. Moreover, I think there is a special power in nudity that comes when we allow ourselves to be seen – especially by the eyes of artist. Painted Ladies offers a unique opportunity to connect with the skin you live in. These photos are different. This concept is unique. This isn’t regular boudoir. It’s something special. Like a Renaissance painting of your supple lounging body eating peeled grapes, I envision these photos hanging life size on the walls of your house – a daily reminder that you, yourself, are the work of art.
Painted Ladies will be held at my Alaska boudoir photography studio in downtown Anchorage. Your painting session with Jade lasts about 60-90 minutes. Jade has a collection of amazing painted ideas and will choose your design based on her inspiration. While full nudity is not required, we do recommend it as it allows the painted designs to shine. If you prefer to wear underwear, we suggest choosing a pair that closely matches your skin tone. After you’re painted, we will start your photo session together. I will guide you through every step of the way with loads of verbal cues, robust cat-calls, and lots of laughs!
Keeping You Safe
In light of our the current environment, both Jade and myself will be wearing masks during the event. We require that you also wear a mask while you are being painted. All clients will be screened before their shoot and only one client at a time will be allowed in each part of the studio for painting or photographing.
