July Recap
One of the major highlights from July was my mom’s visit to Alaska. As I’m sure many of you can relate, this year has been a trip and it was so comforting to have my mom around. We fulfilled a long-time dream of hers by taking a trip to McCarthy. I had never been and honestly did not know what to expect. But this incredible place totally floored me with its majesty.
Welcome Back Weddings!
In July I was also able to finally re-enter the wonderful world of weddings. I was lucky enough to assist my pal Erica Rose at a few of her weddings as well as shoot one of my own at Meier Lake Resort. There is certainly much I miss about pre-Covid weddings, but it sure was sweet to spend some time in the presence of love again.

Home Movies
Last week I launched a new offering called “Home Movies.” These videos are short films that honor the wonderfully ordinary days you spend together as a family. Filming sessions are 2 hours long, shot at your home (or another special location), and include coverage of activities, rituals, or routines that are special for your family. This could be making a meal together, a family hike, watching movies, and so much more. In addition to the footage I capture during your session, I also work with you to collect videos from your family archives that go into your final film. Your film is edited to music and is 3-4 minutes long.
Offer Extended!
Last week I mentioned that I was offering a special introductory rate of $750 for the first three families to book a Home Movie Session. Those three spots have been filled (hooray!). But fret not, for the offer has been extended to 3 more families who want to get in on the Home Movie magic. Yeah, you heard me right. Three more special rate spots just for you guys (and one of those spots is already taken!). After that, the rates go up to full price ($950) so get in while the gettin’s good!

Fall Family PhotosIt’s almost that time again to start planning for fall family photos! The fall colors in Alaska are INSANE-ly beautiful and I love getting to photograph couples and families amidst a sea of warm autumnal tones every year.
Downtown Fall Sessions
30 minute sessions start at $300 and include a photoshoot at a downtown location of my choosing. Last year I had the best time photographing people around my neighborhood. The foliage is absolutely gorgeous here in the South Addition and I can’t wait to shoot more here this year!

One & Two Hour Sessions
1 hour sessions start at $595 and include a photoshoot anywhere in Anchorage, as far south as Girdwood, or as far north as The Valley. So if you’re looking for a location that is more scenic, this session would be a great fit for you. Returning clients always get 15% off one and two hour portrait session packages. So, if you wanna come back and see me this year, come a’runnin’ and seize your super special rate!
These are the dates I currently have available for the upcoming fall:
– September 24-26, 28-29
– October 3, 6, 10, 12-13
