Welcome to the July update everybody! Being a photographer and videographer in Anchorage feels strange this summer. As most of my weddings opted to postpone, it’s left me with more free weekends than I’m used to having this time of year. While I would never wish the circumstances that led to so much time off, I’m trying to make the most of it. Lately, that’s meant taking every opportunity to get out of town. Being immersed in Alaska’s nature has always felt nourishing, but there’s something particularly healing about it this year. Looking out over the water and being cradled by the mountains really does soothe my anxious mind.
Arts & Crafts
I’ve also been spending a lot of time getting artsy just for the hell of it. I’ve enjoyed many a night posted up in front of Parenthood (rewatching it for the third time now!) making pom pom creations, lino cut prints, and a colorful new lady gang I’m calling “Moody Little Gurls.” (pictured below 😛 )
Keeping Y’all Safe
Given the times, I always want to update you on what I’m doing to keep y’all safe. At the studio, I’m continuing the sanitize high-touch surfaces between clients and requesting that everyone lather up with hand sani upon entering. Masks are required for in-studio consults, I always opt for elbow bumps or air hugs, and I always wear a mask when I shoot even when we’re outdoors. I’m grateful to everyone who’s continued to give me their business this summer. Y’all have been awesome and I’m grateful to continue working during this time!
Book Your Session!
In June I revamped all of my portrait pricing guides to include the permanent option for 30 minute sessions in Anchorage. It’s my hope that in offering these shorter sessions I can make my services more accessible to all of you! One and two hour sessions are still available for booking and returning clients receive 15% off portrait sessions for life (you heard me right!)
Lately, I’ve loved shooting outdoor boudoir sessions. I’m excited to get back into the studio too for more boudoir later this month! I also have a few spots available for couples, families, and individuals coming up this month. Take a look at the available dates below:
Submit a contact form if you’re interested in booking! I’d love to chat more about your ideas.
I am accepting wedding bookings for late 2020 and summer of 2021. As many of my weddings from this summer rolled to next year, my calendar is filling up. If you’re planning to get hitched, don’t dally and wait to reach out. Drop me a line and let’s get together yeah yeah yeah!
Thanks, as always, for stopping by. I’m looking forward to the month ahead and I cannot WAIT to check in with y’all next month. I’ve got something really special in the works for families this fall and you’re gonna freaking love it!
Stay well friends.
