Years ago, I got plugged into the Simply Creative Wearable Art Show, hosted by Jess Thiele of Simply Creative Photography, to create a promotional film for that year’s beneficiary. This is an event that raises funds through the creation and debut of upcycled materials into wearable gowns as a means to raise money for a local non-profit.

FOCUS Inc. was the recipient of this years fundraising efforts, which provided me a valued opportunity to again work alongside another local non-profit. Since the spring, we’ve been working to create a film that would give visual voice to what makes their heart of their organization beat. The film was shown at this year’s runway show and will continue to inform greater audiences through it’s placement on their website.

Having no prior connection with FOCUS beforehand, I was continually impacted by how consistently their intentions in service were completely fulfilled and validated by the testimonies of those they serve.

So, friends, if you have a few minutes to spare, sit down and listen to the stories of those who have been weaved into the tapestry of this wonderfully ever-evolving organism.
