That day, I knew.
“I knew the way you know about a good melon.”
As we road tripped together, we told our stories and I came to know that there was something more. Something deeper that pulled them together. And it was good, so good. Next summer, I’m going to make a wedding film for them, and then you’ll see it even more clearly. The effervescence, the rightness, and the undeniable comfort these two have with each other.
I am constantly reaffirmed that this is the way I love to create, with time and space to move in and experience. Taking the time to get to know you, to be comfortable with each other. Taking my time to see beautiful things and make good photographs. It’s so easy to feel rushed and get caught up just snapping away, trying to work as quickly as possible. But I like to take my time. And for you, in that moment, to feel comfortable to just- be. With each other, in a few hours away from the world.
So that it’s not a one-and-done-smile-click-here’s-your-photos kind of a gig, but an experience that in the words of Emily to her hunky hunky man makes you feel like…
“I think I just fell in love with you all over again.”
