It’s been about 15 years since we were all together. All under the same roof.

Let me put it this way. Last time I was around every single one of my maternal family members, I was missing teeth and still shoving water balloons into my swimsuit, because who wouldn’t be convinced by water filled laytex jugs on a seven year old.
Scratch that.
That’s embarrassing.

Now, fifteen years later all the rollie pollie babies are gangly teenagers, every aunt and uncle has at least a few more strands of gray, and a few more of us are finally able to enjoy a family reunion the right way- beer in hand.

And yet somehow, with all the time that’s passed not much changes in the sense of family. And that’s nice.
Consistent & familiar.

 
I’ve been gone for a little while, spending time with people I love. So I thought I’d share a little bit of my summer.
Ample more comin’ loves. Welcoming myself back to reality today. Rah rah to us all and our realities.
